Hi, I Can't Remember Your Name Either

By John I. Blair

ďHi, I canít remember your name either.Ē
Thatís the quote on a glib,
Giveaway badge I keep on my desk.

I laughed when I got it
Years ago from a friend;
Now I donít.

I scarcely note
My ďsenior momentsĒ any moreó
They seem so frequent.

A close, dear relative of mine
Wonít remember
Whatís just been said.

Both she and I are being cut off from life,
But for her itís faster and has a name,
Which she also canít recall.
