Guardians of The Sun

By Bruce Clifford

Flashes of our past come to me in dreams
Memories so fast I can hear the laughs and screams
Total splits of time arrive in honest moments
They lift the magnetic line that have always tried to hold us

It wasn't so long ago when moments were trapped in time
All the things we now know where left here to survive
The guardian of light and the maker of the day
Timing our next flight is the only majestic way

Who are we to want to keep this treasure
Who are we to make this dream go on
Who are we to fall lighter than a feather
Who are we to think we can be guardians of the sun

We live in a magnetic field guarded by time and dust
Only days ago it was something we could trust
The guardian of the seas and the keeper of the show
Chaos and it's crazy dreams is the only way we could go

Who are we to want to keep this treasure
Who are we to make this dream go on
Who are we to fall lighter than a feather
Who are we to think we can be guardians of the sun

Guardians of the sun
I present to you
Guardians of the sun
My Gift to you
Guardians of the sun

Who are we to want to keep this to last forever
Who are we to make this dream go on
Who are we to fall lighter than a feather
Who are we to think we can be guardians of the sun
