Angel Whispers

By Peg Jones

Angels. What are angels? Who are they? Where did they come from? Why do we hear about the angels so much these days?

We hear about them all of the time, about how they have saved someone’s life or how they appeared to someone sitting on their bed or sitting next to them. I can remember about 16 years ago I went to a seminar about angels and she was speaking of how she saw these beautiful angels in the room. They had a lot of purple and violet on them. I was like ok and do you have land in Florida you would like to sell to me? I was not impressed at all by this seminar, but I was curious. I read a little bit about our angels after the seminar and then I put them away and never read again.

I can remember as a young child thinking about angels and enjoying the stories my mother would read to us about the angels. I loved hearing about my guardian angels. I also believe I spoke to my guardian angel, speaking to them as a child would speak to an imaginary friend.

However by the time I was eight, it seemed that angels were no longer mentioned nor did I think about them. The time that I did truly think about them was 30 years earlier at the seminar. I realized I had forgotten all about the angels, and I wasn’t too sure I believed in their existence or not. Yet I had a peaceful feeling when I heard them being talked about or when someone sent me an angel statue.

In looking back, I realize the angels were speaking to me in a soft way to accept them again in my life. I started to read a lot of books on the angels and as I read these books I truly felt their presence. I started writing poetry about the angels for my website and I felt that the poems flowed out of me so quickly. You see I never wrote poetry before the age of 52. I always felt that that was something I was not able to do. I still doubt but don’t we all… I am finding that the angels speak to us in many different ways. They speak to us in our writing, through our poetry. They speak to us through messages from other people in our lives. They could be someone you know or from a complete stranger. Angels speak to us through a song that meant so much to us or through something we have read. They have certain softness about them and so much love. Angels are messengers from our higher Source (for me this is God). They are messages of love from the universe and all that is good.

I feel like the angels really want us to notice them, to not be afraid of them. They don’t want adoration but they do want to tell us that they are here for us to help guide us if we are in pain or if we are troubled or even if we are really happy. The angels want us to know that we have to call on them before they will intrude in our lives for they believe in our freewill.

This is a poem I wrote one day when I was feeling a bit anxious. When I finished writing the poem I felt so much love and no longer anxious. Sure is better than taking a pill to help with the anxious feeling. I wish all of you angel blessings and a peaceful day.

Angel Whispers

The Angels are whispering, guiding me today.
Helping me to live, never going astray.
Thank you, dear Angels, for helping me on days that are blue,
I feel your presence daily in all that you do.

We are here for you, my child, to guide you on your way.
Ask Archangel Michael for protection, to help you get through the day.
When you feel a need for healing, know Raphael is near,
He can help you to feel better and not feel the fear.

Always know, we are here for you, listening to your pleas,
It’s hard to be positive, when not feeling free.
Please don't be afraid, my dear, to ask for some attention,
For there can be days in life, you know, feeling a lot of tension.

Our messages to you, my child, are always so clear,
The peace and clarity you feel, will take away the fear.
The words of wisdom, we whisper, come from the light,
Know that God is with you, he loves you with all his might.

The words I have heard this day, have made an impression,
I thank you for your wisdom and the many suggestions.
Yes the angels are all around, for I feel their light,
Thank you, dear Angels, for your love and will now say goodnight.
