Fear-Faced

By Phillip Hennessy

It’s your Power
That you’re scared of,
Not someone else's.
It's your own Power,
That scares you.
Because,
that is the only Power
You own.

So,
When you give it away,
You’re scared.
And so am I.
Because
I cannot handle
Your Power.
Any more than you can.

Though,
Perhaps if TWO people
Hold the Power,
Then...
It will become Lighter.
And if THREE people
Hold the power,
Together,
Then,
It will become Lighter.

And if FOUR people
Hold the Power,
And TRUST it,
Then,
It will become Lighter.
And if FIVE people
Hold the Power,
And Believe it,
Then,
It will become, Lighter.

And, so – On
- And on,
because,
fear doesn’t Have a Name.
WE Gave it one.
- before that - ,
Fear was NameLess.
hopeLess.
And PowerLess.

Have Courage,
My friend.
Make FEAR,
Your Friend,
Too.
