I Can't Slow Down

By Bruce Clifford

Is there a meaning to this history
A story within the mystery
Taking second chances on the fly

Is there a color to this destiny
The ever turning chemistry
Going out on a Sunday morning drive

I canít calm down when itís getting so late
I canít slow down when Iím feeling great
The attitude of admission
The lonely and betrayed
I canít slow down when I know Iíve got it made

Is there a meaning to these shapeless clouds
A reason why the worldís so loud
Taking every moment that I can

Is there a diamond in the central trunk
The wise man said he was on the hunt
Doing all these things the best I can

I canít calm down when itís getting so late
I canít slow down when Iím feeling great
The attitude of admission
The lonely and betrayed
I canít slow down when I know Iíve got it made

I canít slow down
I donít know how
I canít calm down
I canít slow down right now

Is there a meaning to this history
A story within the mystery
Taking second chances on the fly
