Time

By Walt Perryman

Time seems to be passing faster than before,
As I get older I seem to notice it a lot more.

An hour is still an hour and a day is still a day,
Yet, each year goes by faster in a strange way.

Maybe it just seems like it’s going faster than before,
Because, as I get older, I cherish my time even more.

“Dear Lord, thank you for this beautiful new day,
Please help me to not waste it before it goes away.”

Never waste a day is the moral of this rhyme,
We are here for just a small amount of time.

Make good use of your ‘today’,
Because it will soon slip away.
