Will and Testament

By M. Jay Mansfield

6-24-02

I’ve lost my will to love you....
I don’t think I can....
I’ve lost my will to hold you....
I know that I can’t....
I’ve lost the will to carry on...
so this is where I’ll plant....
My Last Will and Testament..
I give me to the earth,...
not a rubbish bin or a funeral pyre..
but healthy dose of soil....
My Last Will and Testament....
My will...
my decree...
no more running..
no more fighting..
no will to flee.....
This is all I am...
in this cardboard box.....
a few days later when I’m gone...
I won’t even be a thought...
my last will and testament....
do you know what I want?
it’s so simple love......
just a burial plot.....
I DON’T want to love you.....
I can’t stand to talk....
all I want to do...
is take my final walk...
My Last Will and Testament....
give me to the earth.....
My last will is testament.....
return me to the soil.....
